Greg Ball – Picking At The Past

Do you still see me while the clocks still ticking
As time goes on, it's like I'm still picking

Picking at the past, and howling at the moon
Doing something so familiar takes the pain so soon
it began with a kiss and ended with a smile
didn't you know I was faking for just a little while

time can heal it's wounds
and the wind may breath it's sign
but they never take the pain
they only give it a high
away from the red
just see what's in the blue
don't you know the heartache
for something once so true

Picking at the past, another hole in heart
do you still see me, while I fall apart
the dust won't ever settle, on these broken bones
cuz they never stop digging to leave this grave alone

I found a pathway that lead to a gate
that lead to a lock and now it's too late
staring at the past I can't stand the pain
of dancing with your shadow
and seeing you again
