Paul Langlois – Homeless in Aspen

This town's not doing it for me,
This chill in the air,
It's not as if I can't see,
The way that people stare...

Hope that I can leave here soon,
Maybe down Boulder way,
Leave right about high noon,
Didn't get to do it today...

And you may see me,
In the shadows,
Drifting and walking alone...
Or fighting,
My own battles,
Pretending that I have a home.....

But Aspen's not at fault here,
And nor is it the weather,
And nor is it the time of year,
When they're all dressed up in leather,

No, it's what, I thought it was,
And I've known it for a while,
It's all these dreams tumbling inward, into junk,
Thrown in a pile....

And you may see me,
In the shadows,
Drifting and walking alone...
Or fighting,
My own battles,
Pretending that I have a home.....

This town's not doing it for me,
This chill in the air,
it's not as if I can't see,
The way that people stare...
No it's what, i thought it was,
And I've known it for a while,
It's all these dreams tumbling inward, into junk,
Thrown in a pile......

This town's not doing it for me, this chill in the air......
